In this episode of The Sistah Girls Podcast, I discussed something that comes up every year without fail around this time–The Fourth Quarter Crisis. You know the memes, “We are in the last quarter of the year, make sure you go hard or go home.” “If you haven’t already begun planning your 2018 then you’re already behind.” Yup those.

Every year I get anxious and I rush to try and take care of all my current year duties while trying to figure out what the new year will look like. Once the ball drops and the new year hits I’m scrambling to keep up with the hype. By April, I’m trying to figure out where an entire season (winter) went without me accomplishing all the goals I placed on my vision board. Sound familiar?

This year I’m trying something different, I’m going to think of small things I can do now to prepare for 2018. Nothing major, small changes. So when the ball drops I’m not joining the gym with millions of other people, scrambling around to find a good planner, or purchasing a bunch of cute folders that I will NEVER use to become organized.

I’m giving myself some time to get it right and some time to get it wrong. I’ve monitored where I did my best this year and I plan to use those same methods to achieve the goals I’ve set for myself in 2018. Take a listen to this episode so you WON’T become mentally stuck and overly anxious.
