Changing Seasons by Chelsea Maria

Changing Seasons is a story of love, forgiveness, and growth. There’s also a lesson about setting boundaries within your relationships, including family.

The story begins with Paxton and Jacolby graduating college together. From their first scene together, you could feel their love for each other oozing off the page.

Fast forward seven years and things have drastically changed for them. Now, the two are trying to navigate life in a way neither saw coming.

My Thoughts

I loved seeing their growth in their relationships but, more importantly, the change within themselves.

Jacolby was a woman who was unapologetically herself, and I loved that about her. Whenever she walked into a room, she owned it. From her colorful outfits and big hair, people couldn’t help but see her. Her confidence was out of this world–except for when it came to Paxton.

Paxton was a lover and a provider. And I loved his love for his family. Unfortunately, Paxton had to go through some challenging situations in life, and he didn’t handle it that well, but eventually, he came out of it.

Chelsea Maria has a way with words that make you feel like you are right there with the characters. There’s always a lesson to be learned when experiencing this author’s world. I highlighted multiple quotes, but I’ll share two with you.

Quotes for Book Reviews This is a word! We have to stop thinking our joy comes from people. It doesn’t, it comes from within and whatever higher power you believe in.

Changing Seasons wasn’t your typical romance but was filled with love. It’s a book about the different seasons we go through in life and relationships.

With some familiar faces mixed in, it takes you on a journey of life, love, and self-discovery. I would totally recommend this book to another Sistah Girl.

Let me know if you’ve read the book in the comments.
