Kissing Strangers: Tainted Love by Michelle Mitchell

Page Length: 104

Synopsis:

Kissing Strangers is a collection of short stories exploring the complicated relationships of Brittain, Darren, and Heidi.

When Kenneth proposed to Brittain, she said I do without hesitation. He was her ideal guy, and she would’ve probably always felt that way if she had never met his wife.

Darren loves Trish with all of his heart, but nothing he does is enough for her. The same day he decides to take action in rebuilding his marriage, he realizes his wife is doing more than giving up on their marriage. She’s stepping out on it all together.

Heidi’s had enough of her husband Patrick, and she’s devised a plan to pack up that part of her life. But closing that chapter proves to be difficult when she finds out her husband’s involved in something far worse than an affair.

The stories in this collection were good enough to be full-length novels. The first story got my adrenaline flowing and revved up for what I presumed would be exciting reading material. I won’t keep you guys guessing. Yes, the stories were short and a perfect read for a quick fix.

The first story was about a marriage proposal that should have never happened, and the other woman who made the situation a drama and a suspense story.

A quick overview: Brittain minded her business at the park getting some exercise when something caught her eye. Okay, here’s the thing, she had a fiancé who was supposed to be somewhere else, not in the same park doing something unimaginable.

The second story dealt with an ungrateful wife who was also a lying sack of poo. Darrien was about to take a business trip that would bring him back to the city where he and his wife Trish began their married life.

Although he and Trish were a couple, she hardly took time to be with her man. She always seemed to have time for work and her boss. The day he saw what he never wanted to see, was the start of something new. New did not necessarily mean the thing would be a good thing. The second story will be a chilling and volatile story in the collection.

Story number three was a married couple trying to hang on and survive the loss of their baby to SIDS. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). The couple’s marriage was on life support after Heidi discovered her husband Patrick’s indiscretion.

The plot will thicken as you’ll learn, the small item Heidi found was just the tip of the iceberg. Patrick was in the middle of something which included his sister, even he wasn’t fully aware of the magnitude. Story number three will make you want to hurt a few folks.

The stories go back and forth between the three stories to give readers a little more details in each storyline. They give readers more background as to how each couple came to be. Some things you will not see coming. That’s the beauty of a good mystery and suspense novel.

Michelle Mitchell is a new author to watch. The collection of short stories was excellent for five cheers and a hooray!

Sistah Girls, its worth every page- you hear!
