Black Romance Novels

Sistah Girls, the Fall breeze is slowing moving in and the hot summer days are moving out. As we get ready to take out our heavier blankets and trade in our cold drinks for warm ones, we want to give you something to read as you transition from Summer to Fall.

There is nothing better than cuddling up with a good Black Romance novel in the Fall, and we have a few that should make your TBR list…

Here With You Forever (Evermore Series Book 2) by BriAnn Danae

This series provides more details on the characters in Evermore. In the second installment, Leerah loses the love of her life and her child’s father. Amid her grief, she unknowingly finds a forbidden love.

The story is a lovely love story about getting the chance to find love the second time around.

Been About You by A.C. Taylor

A.C. Taylor writes about real-life issues with a dosage of love and drama intertwined. In this story, a groom discovers not-so-nice news about his soon-to-be wife and decides to leave town with his best friend. That might sound shady in this bestie-to-bae story, but this was a meant-to-be-together story.

The Fireman’s Ball: A Masquerade Affair by Denise Essex

The Fireman’s Ball was a beautiful undertaking. Marshawn Patterson is a sexy firefighter with the most alluring description. I could see him clearly, and I liked the visual this man evoked.

Marshawn was in his feelings about his brother’s death most of the time. His guilt was palpable. When Deja Kelly met Marshawn, the light in his eyes shone bright again. However, he had to convince her to believe in their destiny.

The Cost of Love (Jenkins & Sons Construction Series Book 6) by Sharon C. Cooper

If you haven’t heard about the Johnson and Sons crew, Sharon C. Cooper gave readers another chance to visit with this family and M.J.’s antics and shenanigans.

This story features Anthony and his quest to catch Scarlett’s heart and be the best dad little Bella needs. It would help to read the previous books in the series to understand the large group of characters better–but you will mostly enjoy this couple’s romantic adventure in this undertaking.

Seducing the Wolf (The Wolf Pack Series Book 6) by Maureen Smith

If you need a super sexy story, I have the perfect oldie but goodie, this story is steamy, with tastefully erotic episodes; you will blush with a few encounters between Manning Wolf and Taylor Chastain.

Taylor is a well-renowned violinist, and Manning is a Doctor and a member of the Wolf Pack. The Pack of sexy men Maureen Smith blessed her readers with. Book six continues the romantic vibe true to Smith’s style.

The cover alone is sensual, and the story will fill your adrenal rush quota.

Frenemies to Lovers (Peachtree Cove) by Synithia Williams

A story about enemies becoming friends and then lovers is usually a great read. I also like the made-up towns that feel like real places. In this story, there was also the second chance romance between the town’s bad boy and the girl next door type of sweetheart. It was a short story with a huge cuteness factor.

Rather: The Therapist by Grey Huffington

Grey Huffington has a way of telling a story that draws readers into the story and will not let go until she is ready to say… the end. I expected the story to have a tight narrative and a few flawed characters.

We met this family in Chemistry and Egypt’s story. I could not wait to meet the brilliant therapist named Rather. In this edition, the leading lady, Rather, precisely presented the persona I expected for her character.

Her ties with the character Priest matched the storyline. They both were calculating and connected well with one another. The arranged marriage is fresh in this version as the story keeps readers turning pages with dramatics and great storytelling.

There you have it Sistah Girls, a brief list of delightful stories to prepare you for the end of summer and the beginning of Fall.

Until next time, happy reading!
