Campfire Tales: Summer Audio Series

Sistah Girls, the summer is here and you’re either reading a whole lot or you’re not reading at all–there is no in-between. I know you’re outside–I get it. But I also know that you probably still want a juicy read and that’s where Campfire Tales comes in.

Campfire Tales is a limited audio series that will only take place (for right now) during the summer. We have rounded up some dope authors and writers to participate in our summer audio series, each author or writer has written a short story specifically for this series–and get this–they read it.

We will also have authors who are reading from some of their published work–think of it as a preview. Our second tale in the series is Journey by Nia Forrester.

Author’s Note from Nia Forrester:

This short was written when I just couldn’t leave the characters from my books ‘Mistress’, ‘Wife’ and ‘Mother’ alone. Jayson Holmes is an ex-con, wrongfully convicted, and only about a year out of prison. He falls for Keisha, who some of you may remember from Commitment as a very complicated woman.

When he finds out just how complicated, he goes on a road-trip, to figure out who he is again, and to decide whether Keisha could be the woman for him despite her difficult past. This short is in Jayson’s voice, taking us with him on his journey. I hope you enjoy.

If you enjoyed ‘Journey’ but haven’t read the novels on which it is based, you can find them here: MistressWifeMother.

The very talented voice actor for this short is Gilbert Glenn Brown. Check him out here.

Be sure to keep up with Nia on the internets…
