Jahquel J. is a Black independent urban and contemporary romance author. After self-publishing over forty titles, Jahquel decided that it was time to take a step out on faith, she recently launched her new business, Treat ‘Yo Shelf Box, a monthly book subscription box that readers can sign up to receive paperbacks along with other goodies every month.
During my conversation with Jahquel, we talked about everything from running a new business, her journey as an independent author, switching genres, and how she maintains her creative spirit during unsettling times.
